The collaboration with Giorgio and Martina—the couple known on social media as “In Viaggio col Tubo,” who have over 100,000 subscribers on YouTube alone—was launched with the aim of offering those who are not yet familiar with Valsesia a fresh and comprehensive travel guide that they can make their own and use to personally relive all the experiences shown in the videos

A tailor-made itinerary is created, starting in Lower Valsesia with the hidden treasures of Quarona and continuing up to Varallo, the jewel of our region. After visiting the museums and exploring the historic city center, a visit to the Sacro Monte di Varallo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a must. The route then ascends toward the side valleys, Val Sermenza and Val Mastallone, which are wild and lesser-known but rich in art, history, culture, and tradition

Quarona and the lower valsesia
The small town of Quarona, with its ancient origins, boasts among its most important attractions the Church of San Giovanni al Monte, one of the oldest in all of Valsesia, accessible via a mule track along which visitors can admire several small chapels.
Varallo, the historical and cultural capital of Valsesia
Varallo is home to the oldest Sacred Mount in northern Italy and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2003. Conceived and commissioned by the Milanese Franciscan Bernardino Caimi as a recreation of the holy sites of Palestine, it consists of 44 frescoed chapels and a basilica, all beautifully set within a natural park.
When admiring Varallo’s artistic masterpieces, one cannot fail to mention Gaudenzio Ferrari. The works of the artist and his students can be found in the city’s churches, including the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie with the Gaudenzian Wall, at the Sacred Mount, and in the Varallo Art Gallery. A stroll through the historic districts that make up the ancient city center is a must; these are characterized by narrow alleys offering glimpses of architectural details, including shops, loggias, courtyards, and historic mansions.

In a small side valley of Valsesia lies Val Sermenza, which the locals call Val Pitta: quiet, secluded mountain villages nestled in unspoiled natural scenery create postcard-perfect landscapes of rare beauty. One of the jewels of this valley is the village of Rima – Alto Sermenza: a Walser settlement and the highest inhabited place in Valsesia, Rima is a small hamlet surrounded by a magnificent mountain amphitheater. Here, an ancient decorative art form is still preserved today—one that made the inhabitants of Rima famous throughout the world in the 19th century: artificial marble. After a visit to the Pietro della Vedova Plaster Cast Gallery, a pleasant hike through the beautiful Rima basin is a must.
A short distance from Varallo lies a valley rich in gorges of incredible beauty and wide plateaus surrounded by fir and beech forests: Val Mastallone. Rimella is one of the oldest Walser settlements in Valsesia. The village consists of numerous hamlets arranged in terraces along the mountain slopes and has preserved many traces of Walser culture in its architecture, evidence of which can be found in the Walser Museum of Rimella. Several hiking trails depart from the village, allowing visitors to explore the Alta Valsesia Nature Park.
