High and Lower Valsesia offer an extensive choice of snowshoeing routes. A few suggestions:

  • In the Mastallone Valley, from Rimella (San Gottardo hamlet) you can reach the Pianello Alpine Pasture and  Bocchetta di Campello
  • In the Sermenza Valley, snowshoeing on the easy route through the magnificent alpine pastures of the Rima hollow is a must.
  • A number of snowshoeing trails run through the woods and ski slopes of the Mera Alpine Pasture. Explore all the snowshoeing trails in the Mera Alpine Pasture.

EXPLORE ALAGNA WITH SNOWSHHOES

  • Alagna and the surrounding area feature several snowshoe trails, the most interesting being the one leading from the village centre to the beautiful Otro Valley, with its many Walser villages or the route from the Wold car park to the Pastore Lodge, where the view of Mount Rosa is unique.
  • A path departs from the hamlet of Riva Valdobbia, in the S. Antonio area, making its way through the typical high altitude hamlets of the Vogna Valley to the beautiful Larecchio alpine pasture.
