MONTEROSA SKI
The Monterosa Ski District is located in the heart of the Italian Alps, at the foot of Mount Rosa. It is a vast system of ski resorts that reaches a height of 3,250 m, making it one of the highest in Europe. The main area called “3 Valli sci ai piedi (3 valleys with skis on your feet)” is completed by five smaller resorts, including the Mera Alpine Pasture. It offers a wide choice for winter sports enthusiasts, featuring almost 180 km of slopes straddling Piedmont and Valle d’Aosta, between the territories of Alagna Valsesia, Gressoney-La-Trinité and Champoluc.
Whether you enjoy the thrill of the adrenaline rush or the relaxation of a high altitude refreshment stop, whether you prefer an off-track skiing adventure or a simple track to take your first steps on the snow, Valsesia will offer everyone a truly unique experience in winter! In Alagna, every skier can find the route best suited to his or her tastes and skills, from the most extreme off-track routes to intermediate ski runs and beginner courses.
The connection with Gressoney and Champoluc in the Aosta Valley offers a unique experience straddling two regions, for an endless adventure.
THE MERA ALPINE PASTURE
With its 30 km of groomed slopes, Mera offers a magnificent ski park for all enthusiasts. The park overlooks the valley from above with a stunning view, and allows visitors to admire the Mount Rosa massif in all its majesty, with a landscape that is unrivalled in all of Valsesia.
The slopes run from the 1,800 m of the Camparient Peak to the 600 m of the return route, and are designed on soft ridges that make the resort suitable for everyone, from beginners to the most demanding, especially families. The off-track fresh snow slopes are fun and safe, while the perfect exposure to the sun makes the resort a must in the Monterosa Ski area.
